The pulse of the Enterprise

It's curious and interesting to recognize the pulse of the company, when it involves knowing it in its day to day, reactions, conversations, visions, decisions, emotions, processes, results, etc. 

In companies of all sizes there are favorable and complicated results, according to the degree of adaptation of the areas and the establishment of the desired panorama.

In companies that have vision, mission, values; It is curious that many people in the company do not know them, others who come to know have not given meaning to their meaning, let alone to understand their role in the company and the importance of each and every employee at all levels a
nd areas of the organization.

On the other hand there are groups that develop great business models, business architecture, business boards, etc. T
hat do not work, because they were not worked together with the other areas, or, they were not spread.

We forget what is really important, because of the day-by-day fireworks.
Falling into a spiral of complications, stress, errors, etc.


We can count on a dashboard of balanced scorecard or using business intelligence, with interesting perspectives of the company; More will not give us the whole "pulse of the company" because it does not consider the work environment, the attitude between areas, pairs, etc., nor the external influences of various fields, that is, communication is required, continuous learning and approaches to take Effective and Timely Decisions.
However, if you do not have indicators the picture is more complicated and there is usually no strategy, this in turn does not allow us to know where we are going.

We apply again three basic questions that trigger the work of improvement and alignment of every company:

  > Where are, we going?
  > Where we are?
  > How do we arrive?

These questions are not answered by a single person or two, it is a team effort. Many times we forget that we are people and we have life in addition to the work, that the processes unite to the areas and open perspectives of collaboration.

 
Sometimes we think that creating a strategic plan is complicated and oriented to new companies, when they apply in any stage and size of company and is not required to 5 or 10 years, the first step is to arm it to 1 year and we do not need to wait 3 to 6 months to see results, being that among its benefits of analysis are improvements that bring a lot of changes in processes, but above all open a culture and communication in the organization, oriented to the company's strategy.

How many times we did not hear in radio hallway rumors, for lack of information and indicators.

How many times an area complains about another, when in the end their work adds up in each process and everyone benefits by just meeting, communicating and proposing improvements or asking for help.
Moreover, the apparent errors or problems were no more than misunderstandings or perceptions.

How many times the superiors do not lower the information to their collaborators.

How many times a superior is not criticized for his decisions, when the complete context is not known, how we can contribute with our work to improve the work environment, decision making, results, quality, etc.

How many times in a game / meeting where all areas participate, are surprised by good communication, when the beliefs and stress of day to day close those ways.

How many times do we see that a solution of 20 minutes takes days by attitude, responsibility or indifference.


It is then that we fall the twenty of everything that surrounds us.
How we are part of the consequences of what we do and stop doing.

This is how the pulse of the company and of the people is related in the day to day.
Let us not forget that life is a continuous learning.

Finally, labor competencies are learned and practiced.
With challenges, we test and develop experience.

Un poco sobre la Arquitectura Empresarial y la Vida Real

Sobre la importancia de una PMO y no una moda pasajera

Para un alto número de empresas de todos los tamaños hoy sus resultados serían diferentes si conocieran el día a día de sus proyectos y reaccionaran oportunamente para que estos den los resultados esperados, simplificar la operación y administración en cualquier área de la empresa. Hoy se ha convertido en una moda la PMO, más ls resultados son tangibles si te apartas de la moda y pasas a la  experiencia de quienes dan resultado con las buenas prácticas. La PMO (Portfolio, Program and Project Management Office, tomando la referencia del OPM3 del PMI)  en un alto porcentaje de los casos no brinda los resultados esperados. Esto se debe al hecho de que la visión con la cual se le da razón de ser en una institución/empresa/universidad/consultora no es clara o se deja libre a los manejos con ética distinta.
